A Grell Tale

We are so glad you have taken time to check in on our lives. First and foremost, God is the author of this story. Every thing we do, say, and have is His.
Jared and I have been together since 1998, and married since 2003. After four long years of trusting God, he blessed us on August 1, 2009. Balen James is the most "perfect-for-us" little man in the world! We LOVE being parents and just can't get enough of him.
I love to spend time sharing our story with you, and I truly enjoy getting to hear your comments as well! We hope you enjoy watching our family grow. Thanks for stopping by.

3 hour glucose test=NO FUN!

Here I sit. They gave me a TV remote, I have my laptop, and my cellphone. We are so spoiled with technology. It is crazy to think how the world has managed to survive without it. As many of you read, I did not pass my one hour glucose screening. I had to come this morning to take the three hour test. I got here at 8:00 and got to give them some of my precious blood. Then the fun part, downing the yummy orange glucose drink. The first hour was rough. I have had to fast since about 10:30 last night and all the sugar on my stomach has made me a little sick. I couldn't really look at the TV or computer so I just sat here and watched the time. Every hour they take my blood. Then I will finally be finished at 11:00. I am now between my first and second hour and starting to feel a little better.

I know this is some intense reading but I'm bored!! If you're bored just skip this post!

The good news is that I get to see my baby boy today. When I am finished here I have an ultrasound. 29 weeks tomorrow. I haven't got to see him since 18 weeks. We are looking forward to seeing how much he has changed. He is definitely getting stronger. This is the first week his kicks have started to hurt. I'll let you know if anything exciting happens in the next two hours! :)

Oh, at least this trip to the waiting room is better than the last. I sat there with this couple a little younger than me. They talked really loud the whole time and she sat there and picked his zits. I was about to gag. They would talk about it and then they would kiss and talk about each others bad breath. I wanted to get up and leave so bad. Talk about awkward!
