Happy 6 month birthday Balen James!
You are the goofiest little Bear in Sumpter. Mom and Dad are so stinkin' proud of you it is sickening. I'm sure we get made fun of a lot for being those goo-goo first time parents, but we don't care! Yes, we are proud to admit we have at least 1,ooo pictures of you stored in iPhoto!

You are so loved.
You didn't stay little for long. Mommy has focused on slowing life down and tried to savour every single moment. Growing and going, you're always on the move. Your voice is growing louder each day. Honestly, that scares Mommy a bit!! You are currently perfecting the art of sitting. You LOVE the process of eating. I am certain I can sneak about anything into your mouth as long as you get to hold that silly spoon. You love to twirl your hands and kick your feet all day long. You are a people person. You smile at everyone, so proud to show those two bottom teeth. Every evening we get to listen to that funny giggle that for some reason comes from your throat instead of your belly?? It is a sound that tugs at my heart and reminds me how much God has blessed me.
It is hard to believe that you will soon be running around here, throwing things, and screaming your head off! Bring it on! Our prayer for you, as you become more mobile, is that a hedge of protection will continually be formed around you. We pray that your laid-back personality will continue to be evident. And also that the JOY God and put inside of you will continue to touch everyone you see. God has big plans for you Little Man and we commit you into His hands to do as He pleases with you! Hang on and enjoy the journey.
