Inhale...Exhale!

I have been so lucky to make it almost 9 months before Balen caught his first real "bug." I have to say, this sicky baby stuff is for the birds. He has had a fever since Monday and now diarrhea and his first diaper rash that popped up out of no where. We went to the doctor Monday (for 2 hours) and said it is just a virus. In two measly nights, my boy who would NEVER rock has become my boy who will ONLY rock. Not sure what I think about that. The only place I could get him to sleep a little on Monday night was the middle of his bedroom floor, with me by his side of course. I'll be nice mommy until the last sign of sickness disappears, then it's back to normal.

Good news is, we finally got some sleep last night and the fever is going away. Now we are working on the diarrhea and the worst part, the diaper rash. He's a little trooper. It's no fun to watch your baby scream and know there's not a lot you can do for him. These times remind me how blessed I am to have a good husband and a healthy child. Thank you, Jesus!! And, I really gotta hang on to Jared because I am certain I would never survive as a single mother!! Don't know how they do it. It makes me want to go give them all an award or something! :)
