Just Like Daddy

Raising cattle is a big part of these guy's lives. We get cattle magazines and sale brochures in the mail daily. Our cabinets are stuffed full, our office desk is overflowing, and the mailbox is never empty! (And rarely are we allowed to throw one away!) Not only do they arrive, but Daddy has this amazing ability to remember teeny tiny genetic details about hundreds of cows and bulls, even bulls that were popular when he was a kid. I often think, and he has even wondered, why he can't do this with other things in life!! It just comes naturally to him. Well...looks like he's getting the Little Man started early. Daddy doesn't read children's books to Balen, they look at cow books. Here they are laying in the middle of the kitchen floor. I hope Balen does better than I did. I'm pretty sure J gave up on me memorizing this stuff a long time ago!
