In case you have never spent a lot of time around this pair, let me fill you in. This is one proud Daddy. He can't get enough of his cool little dude. The laughter and games NEVER end. They play, and play, and play, laugh a little, make faces, and play some more! They are so much fun to watch, and make my job as a mom much more enjoyable. From minute one, Jared has never failed to amaze me with his natural Daddy skills. He is so loving, patient, and confident with B. He jumps right in and changes yucky diapers, helps with meal time, gives baths, fixes hair, and the list goes on. He already loves to drag Balen around outside with the cows (even if that means mom has to just sit there with Balen so he can watch.) Balen doesn't cry when Mommy leaves, he cries when he loses sight of his Daddy. They are already inseparable.
I am so glad God gave us this little guy. Watching Jared take on this new role has made my love for him even stronger. I realize how lucky I am to have a man that takes care of us the way he does. This Father's Day is really the second time we have celebrated and is a special day for us. On June 20, our first little baby will be celebrating 3 years in Heaven. This year has been a little bit harder now that I know what a blessing children are! That precious baby is still part of our family and will never be forgotten. I decided to include a picture of the tree we planted during that difficult time, in memory of our little baby.
Jared, we love and respect you more than words can express. Thank you for being you! Happy Father's Day. (Oh, and sorry if that was way too mushy for you!)
-Annie and Balen
Annie, you have such a beautiful family. I can't believe Balen is almost one! I will be lifting you up in prayer tomorrow. I miss you.
