Homecoming

The smell of Fall is in the air. Leaves changing and floating to the ground. The streets of Stillwater are painted with crowds of orange and everyone so excited to experience another year of the "Greatest Homecoming Celebration!!" Well...everyone except BALEN!!!!!!

This is how the car ride there went! Instead of his two hour nap, he decided he would be cool with 20 minutes! It was pretty much downhill from there. Walk around was disaster! He didn't want to ride in the stroller, be held, or walk! Hmm, not a lot of options left. The poor guy was just worn out. Jared and I both agree that this was the worst he has ever acted. Hate that it had to be on such a fun evening.

For the last three of four years we have spent Homecoming with the girls I met Freshman year. These families have become more like "family" than "friends." We get all of our kids together several times throughout the year to keep up with each other. We always look forward to food, fun, and games are a MUST with these people!

My favorite story from the weekend involves Jared, Balen, and multiple pieces of gum! Jared was left in bed watching B while I was getting ready. I came back to find Jared sleeping, everything out of my purse strung all over the room, and Balen on his second huge wad of gum, chewed paper and all!! I think he was seeing how fast he could go through the package. It is so nice to know I can always trust Jared to look out for the safety of our child!

We really enjoyed our weekend, club seats and all!! Hated that two of the FAR AWAY families couldn't make it this year. We missed them! Hopefully more pics will come soon. I didn't drag my camera around while wrestling my crazy monkey so I am at the mercy of others!
