A Grell Tale

We are so glad you have taken time to check in on our lives. First and foremost, God is the author of this story. Every thing we do, say, and have is His.
Jared and I have been together since 1998, and married since 2003. After four long years of trusting God, he blessed us on August 1, 2009. Balen James is the most "perfect-for-us" little man in the world! We LOVE being parents and just can't get enough of him.
I love to spend time sharing our story with you, and I truly enjoy getting to hear your comments as well! We hope you enjoy watching our family grow. Thanks for stopping by.

6th Anniversary

Yesterday Jared and I celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary. I really don't even remember what it was like without him since we have been together for eleven years! I wouldn't trade it for anything. It was fun to think back at how excited I was six years ago. Very similar to the feelings I am having now counting down the days until little Balen gets here. I am so blessed to be in love with a loving, hardworking, funny, ambitious, respectful, Christian man like him. He continues to grow and change all the time, as does my respect for him. Many of you don't get the opportunity to be around him enough for him to feel comfortable and open up but trust me, he's a keeper! I still get excited every day to see him when he walks through the door and hope that feeling never goes away!

For our anniversary we made it to Sunday School and then stayed through the singing at church because Jared plays bass. Then..du..du..du.. I braved the 105 degree weather! We took off to the city with baby gifts that needed returned and tickets to go watch the Redhawks play baseball. Every few years Jared's bank plans an outing like this for the employees and their families. Praise the Lord that this year they decided to go with suites! Air Conditioning!! (Which is also the reason I did not watch a second of the game. To see, you had to leave the air conditioning and the food!)

Our trip was nice and I held up well (except for about 10 minutes when I was so hot waiting for Jared to park I thought I was going to cry). We are both so ready to add to our family! We try to imagine what it will be like and can't wait to find out. Life isn't always blissful and easy but it is definitely worth it to endure and see what God has waiting at the other end. He has been good to us and I pray that we keep putting him putting him first for many more years to come! It makes things a whole lot easier!! :)

  2. I can remember when you started dating Jared and I was like...who is Jared Grell? Back then I didn't realize you'd be together forever! What fun, what fun. I'm so happy for you two and it's great to see the Lord blessing you year after year with a wonderful marriage...which is great to have as you begin parenting together!

    Love you all,
    Laura
